The RoboSwap System combines hardware and software components to execute precise battery exchanges and manage charging operations. The main components include:

  • Robot Subsystem: A Kawasaki BX300L robotic arm equipped with an End-of-Arm Tool (EoAT) for battery handling.

  • Cradle Subsystem: A secure housing unit for batteries during vehicle operation.

  • Battery Subsystem: Various battery configurations with integrated communication and safety features.

  • Rack Subsystem: Storage and charging racks designed for efficient energy management.

  • Telemetry System: Real-time monitoring and diagnostics for operational transparency.

  • Safety Systems: Light curtains, floor scanners, and interlocks to ensure safe operation.
