Rack Sleeve
The rack and battery positions should all be calibrated once at installation. The system will also automatically calibrate a rack sleeve position that is unknown either during an idle task or whenever that sleeve is needed.
The calibration of that sleeve location should be reset when:
-
A battery retention bracket has been replaced.
-
Placing a battery in the sleeve has become noisy and rough.
-
A collision with the rack has occurred and there is currently a battery in the sleeve position.
To recalibrate a rack sleeve:
-
Select “System Health”.
-
Select “Rack #” where “#” is the rack where the sleeve you would like to calibrate is located. The system may prompt you to log in if you are not already logged in.
-
Select the rack sleeve you would like to calibrate from the Rack Array. 4. Select “Calibrate Sleeve”.
Before servicing any systems inside the Robot Cell, the robot should be locked out using an OSHA approved Lock-Out Tag-Out hasp in a position that will remove power to the Robot.
Locations this is possible:
-
Primary rack HV Enclosure
-
Robot Controller Power
Servicing Safety-Critical equipment requires special training to ensure the proper timing and distances remain in place after an adjustment. Updates to safety systems may cause the system to be out of compliance with ISO 13855:2010 or ANSI B11.19-2019.
Ensure you’re properly trained on the equipment you’re modifying and know how each change can impact the safety distance calculations of the system. Validation of changes is important and must be performed after any change to the safety system.
