HMI

The HMI is the small display placed on the Low Voltage Box mounted on the primary rack. When performing maintenance or service tasks, the technician may need to utilize the HMI. All necessary tasks which utilize the HMI can be accomplished by the procedures outlined below.

_ All instructions concerning the HMI assume you begin on the “Home” screen. To get to the “Home” screen from any other screen, click the back or cancel button until you get there_ .

Note : If you are already logged in with Admin Mode or Service Mode, you may not need to enter your username and password.

note

_ Some buttons i.e., “Calibrate”, may not appear depending on the state of the system or presence of items in the hallway._

Operation

Entering Admin Mode

  1. Press the upper left corner of the screen 10 times within 5 seconds.

  2. Enter the admin username and password when prompted. You will not be prompted to log in until attempting to perform an action that requires login.

Entering Service Mode

  1. Press the upper-left corner of the screen 10 times within 5 seconds.

  2. Enter your credentials when prompted. You will not be prompted to log in until attempting to perform an action that requires login.

    • a. Ensure you have a unique set of

      • credentials for yourself.

Adding a User

  1. Select “System Health”.

  2. Select “Manage Users”.

  3. Enter the admin username and password.

  4. Enter the Username, Password, and select the level of the new user.

  5. Select “Add user”

  6. Return to the “Home” screen.

Removing a User

  1. Select “System Health”.

  2. Select “Manage Users”.

  3. Enter the admin username and password.

  4. Select “Delete” next to the user you would like to remove.

  5. Press “Ok”.

  6. Return to the “Home” screen.

Opening the Rack Doors

  1. Select “System Health”

  2. Select “Rack #” where “#” is the rack number of the doors you want to open.

  3. Enter your username and password if not already logged in.

  4. Select “Unlock Rack”

  5. Return to the “Home” screen.

_ To close the rack doors press the handle of each door firmly in until the magnetic latch engages. Give each door a light tug to ensure latches are_ completely engaged.
