To Place Battery into Rack:
-
- Slowly maneuver the cart into the robot area and around the base plate. Line up the cart with an open battery bay, sliding the battery on the manual cart shaft as necessary using the provided handle.
- Alignment of the battery to the battery bay should be checked by confirming both sides of the battery have equal gaps when comparing to the back brush bracket.

- On later systems, checking alignment is not necessary if battery positions have side rails that “funnel” the battery into position.

-
- When alignment confidence is high, slowly move the battery into position, raising/lowering the battery such that it clears the lower retaining lip and the upper charger support bracket (See Figure 6).
-
- Continue to push battery into position until engagement with the spring-loaded brushes is felt.
-
- Press down on cart foot lock and slowly lower the battery into the bay until the chains on the cart just start to develop slack.
-
- Disengage the leveling mechanism by pushing the handle back into a vertical position.
-
- Return to the back of the cart and lower the cart until the pin adapter is fully clear of the battery pin.
- Ensure battery is sitting behind the retaining lip and not on top of the lip.

- Move the cart back to clear all objects around the front of the rack.
