Slowly maneuver the cart over to the side of the forklift. Line up the cart with the cradle battery opening, sliding the battery along the manual cart shaft as necessary using the provided handles.
Alignment of the battery to the battery bay should be checked by confirming both sides of the battery have equal gaps when comparing to the battery opening.
Raise/lower the battery such that it clears the lower retaining lip and the upper edge of the cradle opening (See Figure 5).
Slowly push battery into cavity until it contacts backstop.
Press down on the cart foot lock and slowly lower the battery into the cradle cavity until the chains on the cart just start to develop slack.
Disengage the leveling mechanism by pushing the handle back into a vertical position (See Figure 3).
Return to the back of the cart and lower the cart until the pin adapter is fully clear of the battery pin.
Move the cart back to clear all objects around the forklift.
