To Pick a Battery from the Rack

    1. Move cart into position in front of battery ensuring pin adapter lands just below battery pin (See Figure 7).
    1. Press cart against battery ensuring pin adapter is parallel to battery.
    1. Slide battery lifting device, using the provided handle, along shaft to align pin adapter to battery pin.
    1. Slowly raise cart so that pin fully slides into pin adapter cavity but before the battery is fully supported by the cart (See Figure 8 and Figure 9).
    1. Engage the leveling mechanism by pulling the handle all the way out. The handle will remain in this outward position until battery is placed into forklift (See Figure 10).
    • If this leveling step is not performed, the battery will not sit properly inside of the forklift battery cradle.
    1. Continue to lift the battery to clear the bottom retaining lip. It should also be low enough to clear the upper charger support bracket (See Figure 6).
    1. Slowly pull the cart/battery away from the rack ensuring neighboring batteries are not contacted.

    • Move the cart back to clear all objects around the front of the rack and lower the battery to within 2 feet of the ground for transportation to the forklift.

    • Pay careful attention around the robot and light curtains to avoid damage.
