To Remove Battery From Forklift:
-
- Move cart into position in front of battery ensuring pin adapter lands just below battery pin.
-
Figure 7: Typical Starting Point for Battery Lift
-
- Press cart against battery ensuring pin adapter is parallel to battery.
-
- Slide battery lifting device, using the provided handles, along shaft to align pin adapter to battery pin.
-
- Standing behind cart at controls, slowly raise cart so that pin fully slides into pin adapter cavity but before the battery is fully supported by the cart.

-
- Engage the leveling mechanism by pulling the handle all the way out. The handle will remain in this outward position.
Figure 10: Leveling Mechanism Engaged/Leveled
-
If this leveling step is not performed, the battery could become wedged into the cradle and damage can occur.
-
- Continue to lift the battery to clear the bottom retaining lip. It should also be low enough to clear the top edge of the battery opening on the cradle (See Figure 5).
-
- Slowly pull the cart/battery away from the forklift.
