Keyence Floor Scanner Installation

Floor Scanner Overview

The PowerHive utilizes two different floor scanner units connected together to fully cover the area inside of the PowerHive robot cell. The main scanner unit is attached at the base of primary rack one, as shown in Figure 79. The secondary unit is attached to the safety fencing post as shown in Figure 80 and Figure 81 or base of rack five (if equipped) in Figure 83.

Electrical Connections

The main scanner unit has 3 electrical connections: communication via yellow ethernet cable, power via M12 adapter (SZ-VPC03) and 3m M12 cable, and series connection to the secondary scanner head via 20m series cable (SZ-VS20).

The yellow ethernet cable is pre-wired into Rack 1 in the general location of the main scanner unit. It will need to be located and plugged into the unit as shown in Figure 84.

The main M12 power cable is also pre-wired into Rack 1 in the general location of the main scanner unit. It will need to be located and plugged into the M12 adapter installed in Figure 85.

The final connection of the main scanner unit is the series connection cable that runs over to the secondary scanner head. The connection into the main scanner unit is shown in Figure 86 and the connection to the secondary scanner head is shown in Figure 87.
