In some cases, chargers are temporarily removed from the racks to allow access to lifting areas underneath the second shelf as described in Section 5.6. This is typical during shipping and final positioning at customer sites. After racks have been located and screwed to the ground, the chargers should be returned to these empty locations. To reinstall a charger, first become familiar with how the chargers are secured into the rack as shown in FIG. Next, follow the proceeding steps:

  1. Locate the charger assembly to be reinstalled into the racks.

  2. Lift the charger assembly into position, placing the rear bracket tabs into the support bracket slots.

  3. Pivot charger assembly up and secure the front side by placing the charger front tabs into the two hanger slots (one on each side).

  4. Reconnect the battery cable assembly (Gray SB350 connector) and the CAN cable (M12 connector) into the front of the charger. These cables may be temporarily zip tied up and out of the way for shipping. Cut zip ties and proceed with reconnections.

  5. Finally, reconnect the 480V NEMA twist-lock connection at the back of the charger. This connector may also be temporarily zip tied out of the way.
