Electrical Cable Tray Installation

Cable trays are needed across two openings in the PowerHive: over the robot opening, and over the exit of the hallway. These trays are cut to length from a stock material and fastened to safety fence posts.

Robot Opening Cable Tray

The robot opening cable tray is cut to approx. 74.125 inches long. It is fastened to the top edge of each post using M6.3 sheet metal screws and oversized fender washers detailed in Table 2 and shown in Figure 24.

Hallway Exit Cable Tray

The hallway cable tray is made up of two sections. One section is the stock 78 inch length. The second section cut to approx. 19 inches long. The two tray sections are secured together with supplied connectors. Two brackets are fastened to the tops of each post as shown in Figure 25. The cable tray is then zip tied to the bracket as shown in Figure 26 and Figure 27.
